Venture Forward: Emerging Manager Office Hours 16

Venture Forward’s 16th Emerging Manager Office Hours program (EMOH 16) will be held in Detroit, Michigan in partnership with Renaissance Venture Capital’s UnDemo Day.

This half-day program will take place from 8:30am – 1pm ET on Thursday, October 1.

20-25 emerging VC fund managers (EMs) from nontraditional backgrounds will be selected for participation via a brief application.

At EMOH 16, participating EMs will learn about industry best practices during fireside chats with leading GPs and LPs. EMs will then get the opportunity to seek personalized feedback and guidance through 4 rounds of 1:1 and small-group “office hour” meetings hosted by LPs, GPs with significant fundraising / fund management experience, and industry advisors.

EMOH 16 applicants will be prioritized for selection who:

  • Are currently raising or managing Fund I, II, III, or IV
  • Are raising or managing a fund of less than $150 million
  • Have had limited access to opportunities in the VC industry
  • Are based in or have meaningful professional connections to the Midwest
  • (Applicants from NVCA member firms will also be given special consideration)
