Launched in 2019 by NVCA, Venture Forward, and Startup@BerkeleyLaw at the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law, VC University democratizes access to education on venture capital for entrepreneurs, investors, attorneys, or anyone else interested in emerging company finance across the country.
VC University has two components:
An online certificate program and in-person events with local university partners in emerging ecosystems in the U.S.
- The VC University ONLINE certificate program offers 20+ hours of online materials for participants to learn the nuts and bolts of venture finance and earn a certificate of completion, with lectures, interviews with leading venture capitalists, interactive assessments, live office hours, and monthly Lunch & Learn webinars.

Cohort 12 will begin February 1, 2023.
Aspiring and early-career VCs are invited to learn more and apply for a scholarship by Friday, November 18, 2022. General Registration will open on December 12, 2022. VCs who are interested in supporting the scholarship program are invited to share information about the opportunity, or learn more about the VC University Mentorship Program.
2. VC University LIVE shines a spotlight on emerging startup ecosystems; convenes local industry leaders and VC leaders from the coasts; offers education to newer entrants to VC; and addresses advanced industry issues, including how to improve capital and talent flows between the local ecosystems and Silicon Valley.
