WASHINGTON, DC National Venture Capital Association (NVCA) issued the following statement in response to the passing of Dick Kramlich, the co-founder of New Enterprise Associates:

“NVCA joins the venture capital industry in mourning the loss of Dick Kramlich, an early VC industry pioneer who we were proud to call our Board Chairman. NVCA honored Dick with the Lifetime Achievement in Venture Capital Award for dedicating his professional life to building the venture capital industry. He was a visionary with an eye for transformative companies who also understood the importance of supporting our industry’s public policy efforts. Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones during this time.”
