WASHINGTON, DC – The National Venture Capital Association (NVCA) today announced the selection of PitchBook, the leading data software provider for professionals in VC, PE and M&A, as its official data provider. Moving forward, NVCA will report on all venture capital activity using data provided by the PitchBook Platform and will partner with PitchBook to produce the quarterly PitchBook and National Venture Capital Association (NVCA) Venture Monitor, detailing venture capital activity in the entrepreneurial ecosystem. The selection of PitchBook as NVCA’s new data provider ends a lengthy review of NVCA’s current data capabilities and competitive selection process of a long-term data provider to support NVCA’s advocacy initiatives and commitment to providing best in class services to its members.

About the Partnership
The partnership with NVCA establishes PitchBook as the official data provider of the venture industry’s flagship trade association, supporting the organization across all advocacy and data reporting activities and serving as the definitive data provider of the venture capital industry. As part of the partnership, all NVCA members will receive immediate access to a limited version of the PitchBook Platform available exclusively for NVCA members. Additionally, all members will have access to the full PitchBook Platform at a discounted rate as part of membership with NVCA. For NVCA members that are already clients of PitchBook, other discounts of equal value will be made available as part of membership with NVCA.
NVCA and PitchBook will jointly produce the PitchBook-NVCA Venture Monitor, which will serve as the authoritative quarterly report on venture capital activity in the entrepreneurial ecosystem. The Venture Monitor will provide a complete look at venture capital activity, reporting on fundraising, investments, exits and other relevant industry analysis in one comprehensive report each quarter. Between quarters, NVCA will produce individual reports based on data provided by and sourced to PitchBook. The first PitchBook-NVCA Venture Monitor will report on Q3 venture activity in early October.
