Immigrant Entrepreneurship in the Trump Era — a panel discussion and breakfast event

December 5, 2017
9:00 am - 11:00 am

When: Tuesday, December 5
Time: 9:00-10:00 AM
Where: Kleiner Perkins San Francisco
101 South Park Street, San Francisco, CA 94107

2017 has seen significant changes to immigration policy at the federal level, and many of these changes are impacting immigrant entrepreneurs ability to start and scale companies in the U.S. This panel will discuss recent policy changes by the Trump Administration; efforts to protect the International Entrepreneur Rule (such as the recent lawsuit by NVCA, two startups, and two entrepreneurs against DHS); and discussion of a forthcoming report by the Center for American Entrepreneurship regarding the immigrant founders of Fortune 500 companies.

Join NVCA and your venture peers at Kleiner Perkins for a panel moderated by Trisha Thadani, reporter with the San Francisco Chronicle who has written extensively on immigration policy. Panelists include Jeff Farrah, Vice President of Government Affairs at NVCA, where he leads immigration efforts; Monisha Merchant, board member of Center for American Entrepreneurship; and Nicky Goulimis, Co-Founder & COO at Nova Credit.
