DIRECTOR OF COMMUNICATIONS
Cassie Ann Kiggen serves as Director of Communications at NVCA where she leads the Association’s strategic communications and media efforts to better support and empower the venture community, startups, and entrepreneurs. She also oversees the NVCA StratComm Peer Group network and programming.
Previously, Cassie Ann served as Officer of Communications at the United Nations Foundation, working with the UNA-USA and Public Affairs teams, developing and implementing its strategic communications plans while focusing on brand development, media relations, member communications, marketing and events, and digital outreach.
Before the United Nations Foundation, Cassie Ann served as Senior Manager, Strategy and Communications for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the world’s largest business federation, as well as managed the U.S. Chamber’s FreeEnterprise.com platform. Prior to the Chamber, she served in Marketing and Communications at EMPEA (Emerging Markets Private Equity Association), supporting the organization’s connectivity with its global membership community, investor network and ecosystem of financial and emerging markets stakeholders.
Cassie Ann got her start in Washington, D.C. on Capitol Hill when she served as a Public Policy Fellow to Representative Rob Woodall of Georgia, her home state (Go Dawgs!).
Cassie Ann graduated from the University of Georgia Honors College with Bachelors in both International Affairs and Spanish. While as an undergraduate student, Cassie studied International Relations and Politics at the University of Oxford and Spanish at the Real Academia de Historia y Arte de San Quirce in Segovia, Spain. She completed her M.A. in International Communication at the School of International Service (SIS) at American University
